Teams for series three were selected in late 2008. Filming took place between December 2008 and February 2009. The original airdate for series three was April 2009.

Note 1: Kotake and Koume were Yielded by Leon and Cloud, but since Kotake and Koume were ahead of Leon and Cloud, the Yield had no effect.
Note 2: Leon and Cloud were U-Turned by CJ and Catalina, but since Leon and Cloud were ahead of CJ and Catalina, the U-Turn had no effect.
Note 3: Leon and Cloud arrived at the Pit Stop in fourth place, but were penalized 47 minutes for speeding and fell to seventh place.
Note 4: Ratchet and Clank arrived in sixth, but were penalized 52 hours for skipping various tasks and fell to last place.
Note 5: Ratchet and Clank skipped the Roadblock in leg 5 and it is not included in the count.
Note 6: Pacman and Mrs. Pacman did not complete the Roadblock in leg 6 and instead were instructed directly to the Pit Stop.

  • Red means the team was eliminated.
  • Green ƒ means the team won the Fast Forward clue. A Green ƒ in a leg number means that a Fast Forward was available, but not used, in that leg.
  • A yellow > means that team chose to use the Yield or U-Turn; < indicates the team who received it.

Leg 9 - A ten night vacation at the White Forest Inn.

Leg 1 (The Undercity→ Wonderland)Edit


In the first Roadblock, the chosen team member had to navigate their way to the centre of the hedge maze in the Queen of Hearts Castle.

Additional Task

  • In the Destiny Islands, teams had to have their destinies intertwined by sharing a piece of fruit from the Destiny Islands. Teams were given a departure time for the next morning based on the colour of the seed in their fruit.


Leg 2 (Tea Party Gardens→ Windfall Island)Edit

In this leg, the Detour was a choice between Fire and Ice. In Fire, teams had to sail to Fire Island. Once there, they had to navigate through the caves in the island to find their next clue. In Ice, teams had to sail to Ice Island. Once there, both team members had to submerge themselves in the freezing waters of Ice Island to receive their next clue. The Roadblock on this leg forced the chosen team member to climb to the top of The Tower of The Gods. Once they had reached the top, The Guardian would hand them their next clue. In the legs Fast Forward, teams had to travel to the Mother and Child Isles and find the Queen of Great Fairies, who would hand them the Fast Forward Clue.


Leg 3 (Windfall Island → Luigi’s Mansion)Edit

The Roadblock for this leg was to enter the mansion and find the Floating Whirlmdas, who were in the ballroom of the mansion. The Detour was a choice between Light and Dark. In Light, teams had to travel to The Treasure Room. Once there, they had to find one of ten coins in all the treasure chests that had a picture of Luigi on it. In Dark, teams had to make their way to the mansion’s cellar. Once there, they had to navigate through the darkness to find their next clue. In the Fast Forward, teams had to use a Poltergust vacuum cleaner to freeze and capture 20 boos on the mansions balcony.


Leg 4 (Luigi’s Mansion → Baby Bowser’s Castle)Edit

In the Roadblock, the chosen team member had to drive a 150 cc kart around Yoshi Raceway in under 2 minutes and 30 seconds to receive their next clue. The Detour was a choice between Mario and Luigi. In Mario, teams had to assist Kamek in retrieving Baby Mario from Yoshi, who was somewhere in the Jungle on Yoshi’s Island. In Luigi, teams had to find Baby Luigi, who was somewhere in Baby Bowser’s Castle. In the Fast Forward, teams had to win a race while riding on a Yoshi, with no assistance or instruction from anybody else.


Leg 5 (Baby Bowser’s Castle → Dark Aether)Edit

In the Detour, teams had to choose Sand or Sanctuary. In Sand, teams had to travel to the Agon Wastes. Once there, they had to navigate through the harsh desert to find their next clue. In Sanctuary, teams had to travel to the Sanctuary Fortress. Once there, they had to find the one Quad-MB unit, among thousands of similar robots, who was holding their next clue. In the Roadblock, the chosen team member had to use a sonic beam to shoot a sequence of coded locks. Once they had the correct combination, a door would open, revealing their next clue. In the Fast Forward, one team had to find one of the keys to the Sky Temple in Aether. Once they found it, they had to return it to the Sky Temple, where they could take the Fast Forward clue.

Leg 6 (Dark Aether → Ganon’s Tower)Edit

In the Roadblock, the chosen team member had to use magical boots to walk on water. Their next clue was waiting on the water. In the Detour, teams had to choose between Up and Down. In Up, teams stayed in Darunia and had to find the master knight of Darunia. Once they had found him, they had to learn the upward thrust technique. Once they had mastered the technique, they would receive their next clue. In Down, teams had to travel to Mido. Once there, they had to learn the relatively simply Downward stab technique. Once they had mastered it, they would receive their next clue. In the Fast Forward, one team had to find the hidden town of New Kasuto. Once there, they had to master a spell, being taught by the town elder. Once they had mastered the spell, the Fast Forward clue would materialize.

Additional Task

  • In Nabooru, teams had to give water to the thirsty woman in order to receive their next clue.

Leg 7 (Ganon’s Tower → Pal Park)Edit

This leg’s Detour was a choice between Strength and Style. In Strength, teams had to battle the Hearthome City gym leaders in a two on two Pokemon battle. If they won, they would receive their next clue, but if they lost the battle, they would incur a ten minute penalty before they could move on. In Style, teams had to dress up a Pokemon to be entered into a Pokemon Contest. Once a judge had approved the Pokemon, they would receive their next clue. For the Roadblock, one team member had to make their way into the Fuego Ironworks. Once there, they had to capture a Magnemite. Once they had caught it, they had to bring it back to the Pick a Peck of Flowers Shop, and exchange it for their next clue. In the Fast Forward, one team had to take a Pokemon into Amity Square and lead it around the park until it found the Fast Forward clue.

Leg 8 (Pal Park → The Heroes Guild )Edit

This legs Detour was a choice between Avo and Skorm. In Avo, teams had to make their way to the Temple of Avo. Once there, they had to donate 500 coins to the temple. Once they had donated the coins, they would receive a Sentius Mace, and their next clue. In Skorm, teams had to travel to the Temple of Skorm. Once there, they had to sacrifice a human to receive their next clue. In the Roadblock, the chosen team member had to find the Heroes Guild Demon Door, and solve its riddle to receive their next clue. In the Fast Forward, one team had to find The Frying Pan, and with it, the Fast Forward clue.

Leg 9 (The Heroes Guild → White Forest)Edit

The Roadblock for this leg of the race was for one team member to make their way into Nova Prospekt with a team of antlions to find their next clue. In the Detour, teams had to choose between Man and Machine. In Man, teams had to walk to the White Forest Missile Base. In Machine, teams had to drive a car and race Dog to the base. If they lost to Dog, they would incur a one hour penalty before they could take their next clue.

Leg 10 (White Forest → Orgrimmar)Edit

This leg's Detour required teams to pick between two tasks on The Dead Scar. In Blood, teams had to fight and kill enough zombies on The Dead Scar to retrieve 20 Ghoul hearts from them. In Bone, teams had to kill enough skeletons on The Dead Scar to retrieve five pieces of spinal dust from them. In the Roadblock, the chosen team member had to answer ten questions about the race. Once they had answered all the questions correctly, they would be given their next clue.
